Dependent’s Educational Assistance (DEA), Chapter 35
Eligibility:
- For children of veterans with a 100% service-connected disability, or who died while on active duty
Benefits:
- Provides up to 36 months of benefits for degree courses
- Benefits are paid directly to the student
- Through 9/30/25, full-time enrollment rate is $1,536 for each full month

Post 9/11 GI Bill, Chapter 33
Eligibility:
- Eligible parent must transfer their eligibility to the student
- Request a transfer of benefits through
Benefits:
- Provides up to 36 months of benefits for degree courses

academic year - Possible monthly housing allowance & book stipend paid directly to the student

Yellow Ribbon
Eligibility:
- Yellow Ribbon funding is in addition to the Post 9/11 GI Bill
- Eligible parent must be eligible for 100% of the full benefit
- Percentage is displayed on Certificate of Eligibility
Benefits:
- Up to full tuition & mandatory fees, minus the Post 9/11 GI Bill or other

Indiana Education Benefits
Eligibility:
- For children of Indiana residents who suffered service-connected death or disability
Benefits:
- Provides up to 4 years of benefits
- Up to $5,000 annually at Indiana private, non-profit colleges & universities
- Recipient must have graduated high school on or after 1/1/23
Apply:
- Complete a one-time application in
Submit:

- Advise the Financial Aid Office that you’ve completed the application
- CVO benefit will be incorporated into your financial aid once confirmed by the State
Renew:
- File a complete and error-free each year
- File no later than April 15 each year
